My personal theory is that Titus’s one regret was sacking Jerusalem and it’s Temple. Or not stopping his soldiers. Being friends with Josephus and having an affair with the queen of Jerusalem he must’ve heard about the things prophecised in the Bible about the man who destroys the Temple and the horrible things that shall happen to him. Being a superstitious Roman I don’t think it’s a stretch that he thought about it as he died in agony after reigning over a period of catastrophies and plague.

I started a California Roman Reenactor unit, Legio II AVG… COH V. This legion was in Britain and under a younger Vespasian!!

The July 2024 peacock TV show “Those about to Die” has a lot of T-Dawg! Serious, moody General and got the Pretoriana in his pocket. For the Continous Rioting of Romans, the sword is his 1st idea…. We’ll see how the series treats him. I did not know that captured Jewish were used to build the Flavian Amphitheater (The Colosseum) but they did! The show has soldiers wearing a ring on the Helmet (from Trajan’s Column) and leather segmentata…. Hate those two things!. My reenactment group
