This was a good episode, but I think it’s important to clarify that the Romans are fighting the Kyivan Rus’ not the Russians. While it’s true that Russians can trace their lineage to the Kyivan Rus’, so too can several other states and ethnicities, including modern day Ukraine. Conflating the two is an important propaganda campaign by the Russian Federation to justify their invasion of Ukraine.
